Intro
The BACK 2 BFM: HELICOPTERS is a duel-based tournament where pilots engage in intense 1v1 air combat in helicopters presented in DCS World. Participants will compete through three competitive stages: Qualification, Group Stage, and Elimination Stage, each designed to test their helicopter skills. Matches will be conducted under regulations that ensure a fair and highly competitive environment.

Available helicopters: AH-64D, Ka-50, Ka-50 III, Mi-8MT, Mi-24P, SA342L, OH58D, UH-1H
Armament: Guns only (UH-1H will have unguided rockets)
- Qualification Stage – All registered players compete to secure a spot in the next phase.
- Group Stage – Qualified players are divided into groups, where they battle for advancement.
- Single Elimination Stage – The top performers progress to knockout rounds, culminating in a Final match and a match for 3rd place.

Qualification Stage
Players will be grouped and will compete in a round-robin format, where each pilot will face every other player in their group.
Scoring System:
- 3 points for a match win
- 1 point for a draw
- 0 points for a loss
Tie-Break Rules
- Duel Win/Loss Difference – The player with a higher duel victory-to-loss ratio will proceed.
- Head-to-Head Matchup – If the duel win/loss difference is even, the result of the personal match between tied players will be considered.
- ELO Rating – If the personal match was a draw, the player with the higher ELO rating will advance.

The Registration end on 04.10.2025 00:00 UTC.
Currently the Qualification Stage is planned for 04.10.2025 - 05.10.2025 weekend. The Group Stage and the Knockout stage will be held in the following week or a couple of weeks depending of the number of sing-ups.

Sign up for the tournament
Join the server before the deadline.
Type /d in the chat to confirm their presence and readiness to start a match.
- In the Qualification Stage, all matches will be canceled for the absent player.
- In the Group and Knockout Stages, unplayed matches will be counted as technical losses.
This ensures fairness and prevents unnecessary delays.
During the event, type /duel or /d to initiate a duel against other participants. Only registered pilots are allowed to duel during the tournament. Other players can watch the event as spectators.
For better experience during the event you can install the automatic spawn script which will spawn you when the ranked duel is arranged and the "Fight!" command appears in the chat.
You can access this folder by typing %userprofile% in your Windows search bar.
If there are no Scripts/Hooks folders in your DCS folder, create them.
Duel Rules and Fair Play
The Duel Rules and Fair Play
- The battle starts upon the Fight command in the chat.
- Once the latter command appears, players join the flight by spawning in their slots.
- Duel lasts as long as both planes hold up in the air.
- Along with an opponent downed, victory assignment requires the plane to be able to fly for at least 10 seconds after the other plane met the ground.
- In case if both planes go down the match end in a draw.
(The following actions will result in an instant loss)
- Head-on shooting before the merge
- Exceed the flight direction ±45° from a line connecting two planes before the merge
- Disconnect or leaving the slot in the fight
- Leaving the duel area
We are committed to promoting fair play and ensuring a positive experience for all participants. Therefore, the following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Taking advantage of any bugs or glitches in the game to gain an edge over other players is forbidden.
- Engaging in any behavior that disrupts the fair and competitive nature of the event is not acceptable.
Post Match Inspection
Following the tournament, tournament event, or individual match, organizers may request a client-side .trk file from a specific multiplayer session in DCS World. Players are responsible for ensuring this file is available on their PC. By default, multiplayer tracks are automatically recorded and stored in the Saved Games folder.
If requested, players must promptly provide the relevant .trk file to the organizers for review.

The tournament organizers reserve the right to make necessary adjustments to ensure smooth tournament execution. These adjustments may include:
- Changes to the tournament schedule
- Modifications to the number of groups in different stages (must be finalized before the stages begin)
- Adjustments to the number of duels per match (must be decided before the stages commence)
However, any such decisions must not violate the principle of equal conditions for all participants. They will be publicly explained and announced in advance as soon as possible to maintain transparency.
