Our pre-production devices are tested in one of the leading industrial laboratories to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability. The pre-production controllers are then refined in close co-operation with well-known, experienced virtual pilots flying the most popular flight simulators.
Our mission is to provide a real sense of happiness to the virtual skies.

Eagle Dynamics
Eagle Dynamics is a software development company that was established in 1991. Eagle's first simulation was Su-27 Flanker for the PC in 1995. This was later followed by Su-27 Flanker 2 and then Su-27 Flanker 2.5. Eagle's next simulation series was Lock On: Modern Air Combat that included eight different US and Russian aircraft. Add-ons to Lock On: Modern Air Combat includes the Flaming Cliffs series (1 and 2), that added the Su-25T ground attack aircraft and many new improvements.
The current development series for Eagle Dynamics is Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) World. Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World) is a free-to-play digital battlefield game. Our dream is to offer the most authentic and realistic simulation of military aircraft, tanks and ships possible. The free download includes a vast mission area of the Caucasus region and Black Sea that encompasses much of Georgia. It also includes the flyable Russian Sukhoi Su-25T ground attack aircraft and the famous WWII North American TF-51D fighter.
The download comes with one of the most powerful mission planners ever designed, full network play and more than 145 AI weapons systems, 113 ground vehicles and trains, 16 Ships and 73 AI aircraft permitting you to plan and play highly sophisticated missions. DCS World is massively extensible through additional DCS modules as well as user-made add-ons and mods which you can purchase and download from our site.
DCS is a true "sandbox" simulation that is also designed to cover multiple time periods of interest such as WWII, Vietnam, Gulf War and others.
DCS World is fundamentally a deep, authentic and realistic simulation game designed also to offer a more relaxed game play to suit the user and his particular level of experience and training. The ambition is to hand hold users from novice pilot all the way to the most advanced and sophisticated operator of such complex weapons systems as the A-10C or the Mirage 2000C. The only next step is the real thing!
Thank you for your support and for believing in DCS.

104th Phoenix VFBS
The 104th Phoenix VFBS was formed in February 2007 by close friends Ed “Manawar” Green and Paul “PoleCat” Johnston. Before this they were long standing members of the 169th Panthers. This is where their love for combat flight simulations began. Over these early years Paul and Ed grew from cadets to share the second in command role as squadron leaders of the 169th. Through this experience they developed their own leadership style and the vision to form a squadron of their own was born.
Today the 104th Phoenix VFBS is still going strong with a solid time tested and stable infrastructure in place consisting of our own multiplayer dedicated and TeamSpeak 3 servers as well as an excellent website and forums. The 104th regularly hosts and participates in online multiplayer events for the ED/DCS flight simulation community and some of our members are part of the DCS beta testing team.
Since its conception The 104th Phoenix has been flying and supporting virtually all ED/DCS titles starting with LOMAC and Flaming Cliffs right up to the latest releases. These titles included Lock On Flaming Cliffs 1.2, Flaming Cliffs 2, Black Shark, Black Shark 2, and A-10C. Our new simulator of choice is DCS World which features most of the above mentioned titles in the form of plug in modules as well as an updated Flaming Cliffs 3, Combined Arms module, P-51 Mustang, UH-1 Huey, Mi8 and more.
The one thing that makes the 104th so special is our membership and the friendships we have developed within the squad and the community at large. We are blessed to have some of the best skilled pilots that fly a mix of both fighters and strike aircraft. With a focus on teamwork and professionalism in and out of the cockpit the 104th Phoenix VFBS shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
We take special pride in providing personalized training to our cadets in order to bring you to the tip of the spear of DCS virtual pilots. If you are interested in joining, please visit our website!

Extending the confirmation time.
Hello pilots!
Unfortunately, we faced some technical difficulties, due to which not all qualifying participants had time to make their choice about further participation in the tournament.
Therefore, we are extending the confirmation time until the end of Thursday (23:59 UTC+3 December 9th, 2021).
All this time, it remains possible to contact the administration and declare the need to move the flight time closer to the beginning or end of the Top-64.
The final table of the Semifinal participants, broken down into groups and indicating the exact time of each of them, will be published on the tournament page on Friday, December 10 at 14:00 UTC+3.

December 3rd 2021
Registration procedure for Top-64.
The Semi-Final of the Shadow's Trophy (Top-64) will be held on December 11, 2021!
We hope that all pilots who passed the Qualifications will be able to take part in the stage of the Tournament! We do understand that not everyone may have the time or opportunity to show up at the start of the next stage and some even flew exclusively for their own pleasure and to improve their personal skills.
To give the maximum number of pilots a chance to compete for prizes, we have prepared the following participation format:
On the Tournament page on virpil-servers.com, all pilots who have a result in the Qualification must log into their account and as soon as this is done, confirm or refuse further participation in the pop-up window.
The “Statistics / Results” page will display the Top-64 table with a maximum of 64 positions. It will include the pilots who agree to continue their participation.
We strongly recommend that all participants in the Qualification give such consent. Perhaps, if one of the leaders of the standings does not want or will not be able to appear in the Top-64, then there will be vacancies for those whose current position is outside the coveted threshold.
Confirmations of participation are accepted until 7 December. 2021 23:59 (MSK / UTC + 3).
After the expiration of this period, the pilots who have not confirmed their desire to continue the fight are considered to have dropped out of the Tournament.
In order to make an informed decision, the Shadow's Trophy team prepared a small table in which you can see the time of the Semifinal in relation to some time zones:
Shadow's Trophy Top-64 Time Schedule
According to clause 2.11 of the Tournament Regulations, the order of flights is determined according to the time shown in the Qualification of the Tournament from worst to best.
For the convenience of the participants and the simplicity of the event, the pilots will be divided into 8 groups of 8 people each.
Given the geography of Shadow's Trophy Tournament, for some participants the time determined by the Qualifying Draw may not be convenient. Therefore, we remind you that there is an opportunity to contact the organizers with a request to reschedule the race time (change the group) to a more convenient one.*
This can be done via email or or Discord all day on Dec 8th 2021 from 0:00 to 23:59 (Moscow time / UTC + 3).

The final table of the Top 64 participants, the composition of the groups and their flight times will be published on the Tournament page on the virpil-servers.com website on December 9th, so stay tuned !
Good luck in the Tournament!

* — Clause 3.4 of the Tournament Regulations has been changed for the convenience of the participants.
November 27th 2021
Tournament Regulations and Prize Fund updates!
Greetings to all Shadow’s Trophy participants!
The main news for the tournament participants is the expansion of the prize fund! Eagle Dynamics wants to reward the best pilots and, in addition to the devices, will award each podium climber one DCS World module of their choice!*
* - As prizes, participants will be able to choose modules only developed by Eagle Dynamics. Third party modules are not included.
As many know from the Tournament Regulations, there will be online broadcasts of the event during the Semifinal and Final stages. Streams will be combined in English and Russian. One of the hosts will be Dmitry aka =[:)]=MI1T — VIRPIL Controls russian community manager. The experienced and well-known 104th Phoenix VFBS pilot — 104th Maverick — will cover the event for English-speaking spectators!

Pilots should take a look at the changes in the Tournament Regulations that the organizers have made based on the Qualification, achievements and wishes of the pilots.
The main change was the transfer of Top-64 and Top-16 from the VPC Helicopter Race Release Server to its counterpart in the DCS World beta version.
VPC Helicopter Race Server (Beta) (IP address 86.57.174.42 port 10317)
This is due to the fact that the overwhelming majority of participants in the Qualification fly in Beta version and fewer pilots will have to install an additional copy of DCS World.
The next changes were additions to the regulations regarding the passage of the Shadow’s Trophy Race Track.
Section 3 “Rules for conducting timed flights (Top-64 and Top-16)” has been supplemented with clause 3.9, which reads:
In the Semifinals and Finals, if the helicopter is damaged, as well as the occurrence of failures and malfunctions, the following rules apply during the passage of the race track :
- Partial loss of power, i.e. shutdown of one engine on twin-engine helicopters during the race is not considered a malfunction, entailing zeroing the result of the attempt.
- A complete loss of power before the end of the race is considered a critical malfunction and will nullify the result of the attempt.
- After completing the course, the participant must be able to make a soft landing. A helicopter crash after crossing the finish line will nullify the result.
- The final decision on the result of the attempt in the event of the situations described in clause 3.9 will be made by the arbiter.
That is all new information today, but as Tournament Qualification is coming to an end, we’ll inform pilots more about the Semi-Final and Final.
Stay tuned!
Shadow’s Trophy Team
